Blood, the journal of the American Society of Hematology, has been published since 1946 and is the premier peer-reviewed publication in the hematology field. The journal publishes original articles describing basic laboratory, translational and clinical investigations in hematology.

With an impact factor of 11.847 (2015), Blood is a core title for any library.

Blood is considered one of the most respected biomedical journals and was listed among the 100 Most Influential Journals Over the Last 100 Years in Medicine and Biology, by the Special Libraries Association.
