Chart indicates flow of processing of patient plasma specimens fractionated by ion exchange chromatography with pH and organic solvent elution, and application to indicated affinity matrices, in duplicate SELDI-TOF runs, each read at a laser intensity optimized for low and high m/z peaks, and the resulting spectra analyzed on CiphergenExpress software to detect differences between spectra from SCD patients with PAH and those without PAH.
